EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Fueled by strong showings in the 400 IM and 200 free, Drury men's swimming and diving maintained its hold on the top spot in the team standings, while the DU women sit in fourth place after three days of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday evening evening at Deaconess Aquatic Center.

With 253 points, the Drury men lead second-place Tampa (244) by just nine points entering the fourth day of the national meet in Evansville, with fellow GLVC foe Indianapolis sitting in third with 228 points. Colorado Mesa (214) and McKendree (151.5) round out the top five entering Friday's competition. The Drury women dropped from third to fourth place in the team standings, just 2.5 points behind Colorado Mesa in third place, with Nova Southeastern holding a commanding (265) edge over second-place Tampa (209.5).

Drury freshman Belhassen Ben Miled turned in the key performance of the night for the DU men, recording a national runner-up finish in the 400 IM with a personal-best of 3:44.99 to lead a contingent of three Panthers who placed in the top 13 swimmers in the event. Joao Nogueira (3:48.78) placed eighth, while Jaime Gomez-Guillamon (3:52.37) finished 13th for the Panthers.

The DU women also enjoyed a memorable 400 IM effort, with Maria Fe Munoz (4:18.87) and Gwen Bergum (4:20.14) placing fifth and sixth, respectively.

Both Drury squads delivered multiple scorers in the 200 free as well, with Belen Morales turning in a career-best 1:47.25 to lead the women with her fourth-place finish, followed by Nikol Maniko's (1:50.43) 14th place effort. On the men's side of the ledger, Matteo Vissotto placed fifth with a swim of 1:35.44, while Lucas Mineur (1:35.91) finished eighth.

Yevheniia Zhukova placed 10th for the Panthers in the 100 fly with a career-best time of 54.50, while Ivan Adamchuk (47.23) finished 12th in the men's 100 fly competition.

For the third day in a row at the Championships, the Drury men finished a close second to a record-setting performance in a relay, this time in the 400 medley relay. The Panthers team of Alvarao Zornoza, Nogueira, Adamchuk and Yuri Cabral delivered a time of 3:06.54, just missing out on gold by 0.42 seconds, as Indianapolis' quartet of Camille Trinquesse, Jeremias Pock, Elias Noe and Zacharay Anthony set an NCAA-II record with their 3:06.12 finish.

Drury's 400 medley relay effort on the women's side netted an 11th place finish, with Zhukova, Bergum, Munoz and Ashlyn Moore teaming up on a 3:43.14 performance.
