INDIANAPOLIS — Following a dominant performance at the plate that helped Drury baseball to perfect 3-0 weekend, sophomore infielder Jackson Crider was honored as the Athletic Solutions Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Monday.

Crider powered a potent Panther offense that swept the Drury Invitational field with three straight double-digit run totals to extend DU's win streak to four-straight games. He hit .583 (7-for-12) with a home run and eight RBIs, logging multiple hits in all three contests, while slugging .889 with an OPS of 1.556 to help DU rack up 42 runs on 46 hits for the week.

The San Antonio, Texas product went a combined 5-for-7 (.714) with a key three-run home run and six total RBIs in a pair of wins over GLVC foes. Crider belted his first home run of the season and drove in four runs to help the Panthers topple preseason GLVC favorite UIndy on Friday, then added a three-hit effort in a 17-6 run-rule victory over Missouri S&T the following evening. He also logged a two-hit day in Drury's win over Washburn on Saturday.

The honor is the first GLVC Player of the Week award for Crider, a first-team preseason All-America selection. It also marks the third weekly citation for a Panther this season, following the selections of Connor Bain and Coleman Morrison for the league's player and pitcher of the week honors, respectively, on Feb. 9.

LOOKING AHEAD
The 23rd-ranked Panthers (8-2) are slated to play a 3 p.m., non-conference contest against Missouri Southern Tuesday (March 3) afternoon at Warren Turner Field in Joplin.
