SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury's home stand continues with four games against Illinois Springfield and No. 9 Indianapolis this weekend at Thompson Field.
The Panthers swept their first doubleheader of the season on Tuesday against Ouachita Baptist.
Reece Anderson walked off the Tigers in game one for Drury's first walk-off home run since 2024. Illinois Springfield swept Southwest Baptist last Sunday, following a sweep by Rockhurst the day prior. Indianapolis has won five straight following a loss to William Jewell on March 21, the Greyhounds second loss of the season.

SERIES HISTORY VS ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
- Drury is 22-17 against Illinois Springfield all-time.
- Under Brooke Gajewski, the Panthers are 4-2.
- UIS has not played at Thompson Field since 2023. In the last Drury home meeting, the Panthers swept the Prairie Stars.
- The last loss for Drury at home against UIS was in 2018 when the Prairie Stars swept Drury en route to their fourth straight win in Springfield, Mo.
SERIES HISTORY VS INDIANAPOLIS
- This weekend will be the 37th and 38th all-time meetings between Drury and Indianapolis. The Greyhounds are 31-5 in the previous 36 meetings.
- One of the five wins has come under Brooke Gajewski.
- Drury took one of three from Indianapolis last season. The one win came in Indianapolis, the only win Drury has had on the road against the Greyhounds.
- Drury has three wins against Indianapolis in Springfield. The most recent one, coming on April 24, 2021, was 1-0.
STORYLINES
- Drury enters the weekend winning four of their last five games, including their first doubleheader sweep of the season against Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday.
- Sunday will be Drury's sixth and seventh-ranked games of the season. The Panthers are 3-2 in those games this season.
- Under Brooke Gajewski, Drury is 7-9 against top 25 teams.
- Claire Nelson was named to the NFCA Top Performers of the Week on Tuesday following a week against Emporia State, Maryville, and No. 16 McKendree, where she hit .444 with seven RBIs and one home run.
- The honor for Nelson is the third honor for Drury this season; Landry Cochran has been selected twice already this season.
- Nelson is currently on pace to finish in the top three for the most hits by a freshman at Drury. If she continues at the pace she is at now, Nelson will have 51 hits, tied for the second most for a freshman.
- Jordyn Foley is two strikeouts shy of 100 in her Drury career. Foley struck out five against Ouachita Baptist, one short of tying her career-high.
- Kaley Adzick did not pitch against Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday; she will have the opportunity to move into tenth all-time in wins for a Drury pitcher. She currently has 17.
- Reece Anderson sits in fourth all-time in career assists at Drury with 251. The sophomore set a single-season record in her first season with 160 assists.
- Anderson is fifth in NCAA Division II in total assists with 87 this season.
- Drury's infield has turned 14 double plays this season, the 11th most in division two.
- Illinois Springfield has one of the top players in the GLVC, Rosie Bartletti. Bartletti leads the GLVC with a 0.97 ERA and a 7-3 record. She has won GLVC Pitcher of the Week three times this season. When she is not pitching, Bartletti will play shortstop for UIS, hitting .348 and stealing 27 bases.
- Indianapolis has ten players hitting over .300 for them this season, led by Cara Cooper. Cooper is hitting .402 with 17 RBIs and six extra-base hits. The pitching staff for the Greyhounds is led by Cheyenne Eads and Caitlin Bunte. Eads is the reigning GLVC Freshman of the Year. This season, Eads is 14-1 with a 2.28 ERA. Bunte has tossed ten complete games for a 13-1 record, 1.19 ERA, and an opponents batting average of .185.
- Drury is 12-3 this season in games where they allow three or fewer runs.
- The Panthers have played 12 one-run games this season, holding a 7-5 record.
