SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –
Jordyn Foley's game one no-hitter headlined Drury's sweep of Quincy in their return to Thompson Field for their sixth straight win. The wins improved the Panthers' record to 21-22 and dropped Quincy to 7-35.
GAME ONE – Drury 7, Quincy 0
Coming off the Panthers' longest road trip of the conference season, the Drury bats took until the second inning to get going.
In the bottom of the second, the Panthers scored three runs.
Isabel Ervin walked and advanced to second on a
Kelsey Palmer single. Ervin would score three pitches later on a
Reece Anderson double. Palmer and Anderson would then score the game's second and third runs on a
Gabrielle Bax single into right field. A double play ended Drury's early rally.
Drury's bats stayed hot into the third inning, adding four runs. The inning started with a lead off triple from
Landry Cochran. She would score on an RBI from
Claire Nelson in the next at-bat.
Jordan Meng, pinch running for Nelson, would steal second and third, along with
Mykala Dodds, running for
Avery Budde; both would score on a double from
Isabel Ervin. The fourth run of the inning came as
Reece Anderson singled to score Ervin.
Quincy got their second base runner of the game in the top of the fourth on a one-out walk but was unable to do anything with it.
As the Drury bats went quiet for the final four innings of game one,
Jordyn Foley shut the Hawks' offense down. In the second inning, the Hawks had a runner reach base after a wild pitch on a strikeout but were set down on an inning-ending double play. In the fourth and sixth innings, Foley walked a batter but did not allow a hit in the 7-0 no-hitter.
GAME ONE NOTES

- Hannah Uhles pitched the final three innings, walking and striking out two batters.
- The Panthers had six hits in the win, two of them from Reece Anderson.
- Five of the six hits came from the bottom four in the Drury lineup: Isabel Ervin, Kelsey Palmer, Reece Anderson, and Gabrielle Bax.
- Avery Budde's (11 games) and Emma Niemczyk's (five games) hit streaks came to an end, but they both extended their on-base streaks by earning a walk.
- Jordan Meng recorded two steals in the game, her first two as a Panther.
- Reece Anderson's start at shortstop was her 100th career start.
GAME TWO – Drury 6, Quincy 1
After not getting a hit in game one, the Quincy offense came out putting solid contact on
Kaley Adzick with a single in the first inning and a solo home run in the second inning to take an early 1-0 lead.
Drury responded to the early score with a run of their own in the bottom of the second on a
Kelsey Palmer double to score
Mykala Dodds, running for
Avery Budde, from first.
The Panther bats stayed in rhythm in the third inning with three runs on two hits, with RBIs from
Kaley Adzick and
Isabel Ervin after the inning started with an
Emma Niemczyk double.
The Hawks went hitless from the second-inning home run to the lead off hitter in the fifth inning, as Adzick struck out five in that span.
The game was put on ice in the bottom of the sixth when Drury scored two runs to extend their lead to 6-1.
Avery Budde doubled to start the inning, and
Madi Divis followed with a double on the first pitch she saw to score Budde. Divis advanced to third on a ground out from McKenna Beacher.
Sadie Christensen pinch hit for
Gabrielle Bax with Divis on third and singled to left field to drive in Divis and the sixth Panther run.

- Drury has not struck out at least 12 batters in a game since April 16, 2023, when they did so against Missouri-St. Louis with 14.

- Half of the eight hits were doubles.
- Batters hitting in the seven, eight, and nine holes had four hits, two doubles, and three RBIs.
