SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury softball hosts Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday (April 4) for a doubleheader at Thompson Field.

In the Panthers' most recent doubleheader, they were swept by No. 9 Indianapolis. It was the first time this season that Drury had been swept in a doubleheader. UMSL split with crosstown rival, Maryville, last weekend.

Fans may follow the action through the GLVC Sports Network (subscription required), where games will be streamed live throughout the regular season. New for the 2025-26 academic year, viewing access to GLVC regular season and postseason broadcasts will be available via monthly subscription ($30) or annual subscription ($140). Single-event access can also be purchased for $15. Select games, including those against UMSL, will not be streamed on DU All-Access but will have free audio coverage on DU All-Access.

SERIES HISTORY
  • UMSL is 24-14 against Drury all-time.
  • Since Brooke Gajewski has taken over the Drury program, Drury and UMSL have split a pair of doubleheaders.
  • The last time the teams played in Springfield was during the 2023 season. That doubleheader was split.

STORYLINES
  • There will only be two GLVC doubleheaders on April 4, Drury vs. UMSL and Truman State vs. Indianapolis, as the league moved the weekend schedule up a day for Easter.
  • UMSL has the fourth-best batting average in the GLVC, at .310. Drury is 13th in the league with a .259.
  • Drury's 3.27 ERA is the fourth best in GLVC. UMSL holds a 4.84 ERA, the third worst in the league.
  • Drury has turned 17 double plays this season, the seventh most in the NCAA Division II.
  • Kaley Adzick enters the weekend ten strikeouts away from her 200th career strikeout and three away from moving into the top ten career strikeouts at Drury; she has 140 in her Drury career.
  • Adzick moved into the top ten in Drury history in career wins. She currently has 18.
  • Reece Anderson is 38 assists away from her 300th career assist. She would only be the fourth Panther to reach that milestone in their Drury career.
  • Gabrielle Bax is 31 assists away from her 200th assist at Drury.
  • Emma Niemczyk was named to the NFCA Top Performers of the Week on Tuesday. It is the fourth time this season that a Drury player has found their way on the list. Niemczyk earned it after a week where she hit .412 with four doubles, three RBIs, and a home run. Against No. 9 Indianapolis, she was a triple away from the cycle. In that same game, she had four hits, the single-game program record.

LOOKING AHEAD
Drury travels to No. 4 Pittsburg State on April 7 for a non-conference doubleheader.
