SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury shotgun delivered a strong showing at the 2026 Panther Classic, finishing second overall while hosting nine teams, 127 shooters and 44,450 targets across the weekend. Lindenwood won the event with a team total of 1,635, followed by Drury at 1,601 and the University of the Ozarks in third with 1,538.
 
Drury's lineup produced several of the meet's top individual scores. Hunter Alver led the Panthers with a perfect 50 in trap, a 99 in skeet and a 46 in 5-stand, while also tying for the team's best wobble trap mark at 49 alongside Tom Burton. Brandon Perry paced Drury in sporting clays with a 91, rounding out a balanced performance that helped secure the Panthers' runner-up finish.
