SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –
Carly Swan's two-goal performance lifted Drury over Indianapolis 3-1 in the Panthers' return to Lake Country Soccer Complex on Saturday morning.
The first half was quiet for both sides, producing just five combined shots, with Indianapolis recording the only shot on goal.
The deadlock broke early in the second half. Off a corner-kick sequence,
Grace Pohl put a shot on frame that was blocked, and
Mia Smith collected the rebound and played it to
Carly Swan, who drove a low strike past Samaya Hogg in the 48th minute.
Indianapolis answered in the 55th minute after a Panther turnover in the defensive third. Emily DeWitt lofted a shot just over the reach of
Katy Fitzler to level the match at 1-1.
Ten minutes later, Drury regained the lead.
Sunny Potter headed a ball forward to
Keira Love, who took one touch, turned, and fired across the net for the 65th-minute goal.
Drury added insurance in the 82nd minute when Swan, from 25 yards out, put a shot on target that slipped through Hogg's hands and crossed the line for her second goal of the match, securing the 3-1 victory.
MATCH NOTES
- Carly Swan recorded her first career multi-goal game. It was Drury's first multi-goal performance since Kourtney Tucker scored twice vs. Southwest Baptist in 2024.
- Keira Love scored the game-winner -- her second of the season and fourth of her career. It was also her second career goal against Indianapolis.
- Mia Smith assisted both Swan goals, marking her first career assists and points.
- Sunny Potter earned her first career point with the assist on Love's goal.
- DeWitt's goal was her second of the season and Indianapolis' first against Drury since 2022.
- Katy Fitzler made her 50th career start in net, becoming the fourth goalkeeper in program history to reach the milestone.
- Drury outshot Indianapolis 14-5.
- The Panthers scored a season-high three goals -- their most since Oct. 24, 2025 vs. William Jewell.
- Both keepers, Fitzler and Hogg, made two saves.
- Calli Watson made her first career start.
- Brooke Tufts and Bailey Snyder made their first appearances of the season, both returning from injuries last year.
- Drury has now won six straight against the Greyhounds.
- It was Drury's first match this season kicking off before 5 p.m.

Justin Olson said. "Every time we play, our goal is to get three points, and we were able to accomplish that today."
"I think everything clicked for us in the second half," Swan said. "A win like this can help with confidence and momentum going into Wednesday's game against Missouri Western."
"Being confident and being there for each other," Love said when asked what the team can take away. "We just need to keep building."
