ST. LOUIS – After Drury volleyball turned in a dominant first set to establish an early advantage against Missouri-St. Louis, the Tritons rebounded to win the next three (16-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-12) and extend their Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season win streak to 17-straight matches Saturday afternoon at the Mark Twain Building.

Chaney Barth delivered a Drury career-high 15 kills and Jacy Bray notched her team-leading sixth double-double of the season with 35 assists and 13 digs to pace the Panther attack. DU hit .326 as a team and pulled away for a 25-16 win in the opening set.

But UMSL's Alayna Santel countered with a 28-kill, 12-dig performance on .446 hitting to spearhead the Tritons' comeback. Marly Burbach (44 assists, 15 digs) and Skylar Weaver (10 assists, 23 digs) also turned in double-doubles to bolster UMSL's attack.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Drury (10-3, 1-1 GLVC) rode a 17-3 scoring run to a decisive 25-16 opening-set victory behind .326 hitting and 10 combined kills from Barth and Skylar Hilton.
• UMSL (7-5, 2-0 GLVC) led 4-3 when a service error and back-to-back kills by Abby Renshaw and Taylor Wood sparked the Panthers' critical spurt.
• The duo of Barth and Hilton powered the DU offense during the run, tallying three kills apiece to help stake the Panthers to a commanding 20-7 cushion.
• UMSL closed the gap to within six points with a 9-2 run of its own, before Renshaw posted a pair of kills to help close out the set.
• The Tritons bounced back with a 25-20 decision in the second stanza to even the score.
• UMSL never trailed in the set and seized control for good with a 7-1 spurt to build a 14-9 lead.
• Drury clawed its way back to within 17-16 on a Gwen Kubik kill, but the Tritons claimed six straight points to help seal the outcome.
• The home club heated up to hit .286 in the third and a blistering .425 in the fourth to turn the tide for good.
• The Tritons built an early six-point lead in the third, then rode Santel's six kills and three service aces to a double-digit margin before settling for the 25-16 win.
• UMSL rode that momentum to another strong start to the fourth, claiming four of the first five points before using a 15-6 run to pull away.
• Santel once again played a starring role for the home club with seven kills while hitting .438 in the fourth set.
• The Triton defense came through in the final set as well, limiting the Panthers to .077 hitting while leading from start to finish in the fourth.

• With her 35 assists, Bray moved to within 12 assists of the 1,000-assist milestone for her career; she also posted her sixth double-double of the season, as well as her fourth in a row (since Sept. 11).
• Barth's 15 kills eclipsed three previous 12-kill efforts as a Panther, with the most recent such performance coming in DU's season opener vs. Minot State on Aug. 28.
• Gracie Kimrey totaled seven blocks to lead the Panthers, while Wood added five, as well as a team-best 16 digs.
• Hilton contributed three blocks to go along with her eight kills.
• Renshaw finished with eight kills and 11 digs, while Kubik posted five kills and hit a team-best .333.
• The Panthers dropped to 19-25 all-time vs. UMSL.
