CAREERIn BJ's two seasons as a Panther she recorded 647 kills, 748 digs, played in 214 games and had 78 block assists with 59 serving aces.
SENIORBJ earned Second Team All-GLVC honors and led Drury with 386 kills and was ranked third in the GLVC. . . Specht also led Drury with 451.5 points good for third in the conference. . . She led the Panthers with 402 digs with a career high 30 at UMSL on November 14. . . Specht ranked 18th in the GLVC for digs. . . She had 35 serving aces which led Drury and was 10th in the conference. . . Specht had 23 double digit kill matches, three 20+ kill matches and had a career high 24 kills at Wisconsin-Parkside on September 19. . . She had a season best four serving aces vs. Lubbock Christian on September 11. . . Recorded a career high 30 digs at UMSL on November 14 and had 25 digs at William Jewell on October 10 . . . BJ had 15 block assists, five block solos and 32 assists on the season.
JUNIORLed the Panthers with 261 kills and posted a season high 18 kills twice both coming vs. Rockhurst on September 26th in the Panthers 3-1 victory and in the Panthers season finale at Rockhurst on November 8th . . . Had 13 double figure kill matches for the Panthers and posted 15 kills vs. Missouri S&T on October 29th . . . Led the Panthers with 24 serving aces and had a season best four vs. Northwood on October 17th at the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover and had three serving aces in the Panthers opener vs. Lindenwood on September 5th. . . Was second on the team with 346 digs and had a season high 25 vs. Missouri S&T on October 29th and posted 20 digs at Wisconsin-Parkside on November 2nd . . . Finished with four block solos and 27 block assists with three block assists in three matches . . . Had a season high five assists vs. Southern Indiana on September 20th and recorded four assists in a match three times.
PREP/PREVIOUS SCHOOL...BJ was a First Team All-American, Jayhawk Conference MVP and the 2013 National Tournament MVP and earned First Team All-District honors for Cowley County Community College last season in route the helping them claim the 2013 National Junior College title (35-4 overall record and 10-0 conference mark) and a runner up finish in 2012 . . . She earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2012 at Cowley . . . Posted 499 kills, 3.9 kills per set, 488 digs, 3.9 digs per set, 4.7 points per set, and 38 serving aces last season for Cowley . . . Named Kansas Jayhawk Player of the Week three times last season . . . As a freshman at Cowley she had 231 kills, 2.3 kills per set, with 383 digs, 3.8 digs per set, 2.8 points per set and helped Cowley to a 38-1 overall record and a 10-0 Conference mark . . . Had a 3.8 grade point average at Cowley and was a member of the Dean's List all four semesters . . . Was a member of Phil Theta Kappa, was a Whose Who Among College Student Athletes in American Junior Colleges and was Student Athlete of the Month for September 2013 . . .While at Shawnee Mission North High School she was a three year starter and two year team captain who was voted team MVP her junior and senior seasons as well as Best Offensive Player . . . She earned First Team All-Sunflower League honors as a junior and senior . . . Senior season BJ had 336 kills, 4.4 per set with 49 aces, 258 digs and had a .322 hitting percentage and had a 94.3% serving percentage . . . She was three sport athlete at Shawnee Mission North, playing softball and basketball . . . Was a four year starter in softball and earned Second Team All-State and First Team All-Sunflower League honors as a sophomore . . . Helped her team to a District title and a third place finish at the state tournament . . . Earned First Team All-Sunflower League honors as a junior and a senior . . . Was a two year varsity starter in basketball and named team MVP and earned Second Team All-Sunflower League honors as a junior.
