Conor McKenna

Conor McKenna will enter his second season as a men’s assistant soccer coach at Drury University for the 2019 season.
 
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, McKenna is reunited with Panthers head coach Ben Taylor after playing for Taylor’s squad at Iowa Central Community College. During McKenna’s two years at ICCC, he was named a team captain, was the team Player of the Year, and was selected as a First Team All-Region player. In his freshman season, he helped the team to a 14-3-2 record and had the Tritons ranked as high as number six in the National Junior College Athletic Association. Iowa Central posted a 27-10-2 record in his two seasons.
 
McKenna continued his college career at Tusculum College in Tennessee and was part of the Pioneers South Atlantic Conference tournament championship team in 2014. It marked Tusculum’s first SAC championship in five years.
 
McKenna was the assistant boys’ soccer coach at Hardin Valley Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2016 and returned to Iowa Central in 2017 as an assistant women’s soccer coach. He helped women’s program to two regional semifinal appearances and a 22-9-4 record through two seasons.
 
Conor graduated from Tusculum in 2016 with a degree in Sports Management, and he owns a USSF “E” license.
