Former Panthers standout Ryan Haas will start his first years as a full time assistant coach for the Drury men’s soccer program and his third season overall with the program in 2017. Haas spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Panthers and helped the team to a 13-4-4 record in 2016 as well as an NCAA-II tournament appearance that saw Drury advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
Haas graduated in 2014 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and was a key part of the Panthers success during his four seasons as a defender. He earned First Team All-GLVC honors and First Team All-NSCAA All-Midwest Region honors his senior campaign. Ryan helped the Drury defensive unit record 11 shutouts in 2014. A native of Wentzville, Missouri, Haas earned Third team All-GLVC honors his junior season and netted three game winners.
Haas twice earned First Team All-Conference honors for Holt High School in 2010 and where he was part of Holt teams that claimed State and Regional titles.
