Sebastian Smeed is the graduate assistant coach for the Drury men's soccer program.
In 2024, Smeed helped lead the team to an 8-6-4 record, with a 6-5-3 mark in GLVC play. The team most notably tied McKendree 1-1, who ended the season ranked fourth nationally, and beat Truman State at home 4-1. Carson Morgan, a junior defender, led the team in goals with seven and earned NCAA-II All-Region first team and All-GLVC first team honors.
The native of Guernsey, Channel Islands, Smeed completed his playing career after the 2022 season. A midfielder for the Panthers, Smeed played in 15 games in his junior year and saw action in 17 contests as a senior in 2022. He scored a game-winning goal in the closing moments against nationally ranked Maryville in a 2-1 Drury win during his senior season.
Smeed started his college career at Crowder Community College and had the third-most assists in a single season in program history for a team ranked eighth nationally in the junior college level.
He graduated from Drury in 2023 with a degree in Elementary Education.
