Ashley (Jurgensmeyer) Emery will enter her third year as an assistant coach with the Drury University volleyball program in 2020. In her two seasons, Emery has been a part of the program’s first regular season conference championship, and their first NCAA-II tournament appearance in 2018.
The former standout at Southwest Baptist University and Osceola High School joins the Panthers coaching staff from Missouri S&T where she started as an assistant coach last year and spent the second half of the 2017 season as their interim head coach.
Emery coached for the varsity volleyball team at Broken Arrow High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma from 2015 to 2016 and was the head coach at Edison Preparatory School in Tulsa for three seasons, 2012-14. She was the Tulsa World Metro-Area Coach of the Year in 2013 after leading Edison to their first-ever state tournament appearance.
Emery played for Southwest Baptist from 2008-10 and graduated in three seasons but left as the program's all-time leader in kills, attack percentage, and points. She was an all-conference selection in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association during each of her three seasons playing for the Bearcats.
She currently resides in Lebanon with her husband, Dr. Jared Emery, and their two sons, Jameson and Everett.
