Caira Dortch

A former University of Arkansas standout and a top assistant and Head Junior Varsity Coach at Evangel University from 2009-10, Caira Dortch enters her third season as an assistant volleyball coach at Drury University.

Dortch is graduated from Evangel University where she earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology this May. The Springfield, Missouri native played four years for the Lady Backs at the University of Arkansas (2005-09) where she was a setter and defensive specialist. Caira was a four-time All-District honoree at Hillcrest High School. 

Dortch worked for the Club Bear Volleyball team where she served as a head coach and site director and played an active role in directing tournaments and coordinating practices. Caira coached at the Ozark Juniors Volleyball Academy in Springdale, Arkansas from 2005-09, an academy that has 13-15 age groups. She has also played an active role in a number of camps at the collegiate and high school levels, among those are the University of Arkansas, Pittsburg State University, Evangel University, Hillcrest High School and Branson High School.
 
Caira is IMPACT certified (Increased Mastery and Professional Application of Coaching Theory) and is awaiting confirmation on her CAP I certification (Coaching Accreditation Program).

Caira is married to Jarrod Dortch and they have one child and reside in Republic.
