Payton Mitchell was one of three Panthers to play in all 106 sets last fall, starting six of Drury's 27 matches ... finished tied for third on the team with 23 service aces, while her 270 digs (2.55 per set) were fourth on the squad ... produced a pair of 17-dig performances in back-to-back contests vs. Missouri S&T (Oct. 4) and Maryville (Oct. 5); added a career-best four aces in same match against Maryville ... named an Academic All-GLVC selection for the second straight year, as well as a CSC Academic All-District honoree. 

2023
Mitchell played in 27 matches, starting eight, in her first season with the Panthers ... logged five service aces to go along with 217 digs and a reception percentage of .925 ... recorded a season-high 18 digs vs. Thomas More (Oct. 13) ... tabbed an Academic All-GLVC honoree. 

PRIOR TO DRURY
Attended Washburn (Kan.) University as a freshman in 2022 ... sat out as a redshirt her only season in Topeka ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year member of the Blair Oaks volleyball team ... helped the Falcons to three conference championships and an overall combined 88-18 record during those three seasons, including a program-best 35-4 record her senior year that resulted in a Class 3 State Championship ... finished her career as the program's career digs leader (1,016) and set the single season digs record her senior season (606 digs) ... named to all-conference and all-district twice ... named conference Most Outstanding Player as a senior ... also competed in track and was named All-State in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles; also a member of the Falcons' state champion 4x400m relay team.
