LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A
Jack Mathis goal, his second of the contest, at 91:08 in overtime gave the 25
th ranked Drury men's soccer team a 2-1 victory Friday at Bellarmine played at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
Drury is now 9-2 overall and 7-2 GLVC and Bellarmine dropped their fourth straight game to fall to 4-7-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the GLVC.
The Knights got on the board first (10:55) when Joshua Hubert scored on a rebound shot after a free kick, assisted by Dan Schiavi.
Jack Mathis tied it up for the Panthers with his fifth goal of the season at the 69:40 mark from the right side of the box off a corner kick from
Mitchell Waters.
Mathis netted his sixth goal of the season in overtime at 91:08 to seal the win for the Panthers coming off a
Scott Stiffler assist on a cross to the left side of the box that was drilled into the net.
Drury took just one shot in the opening half while the Knights got off eight, but the Panthers had 12 second half and one in overtime to outshoot the Knights 14-12.

Logan Ponche posted four saves for the Panthers and Blake Hunter recorded one save for the Knights.
Next up for the Drury men's soccer team will be a road contest at McKendree on Sunday set for a 2:30 p.m. start.
