GLVC league leader Truman State won their 12th straight match by 3-1 score over the Drury volleyball Panthers at Weiser Gym on Friday.
Drury is now (8-7, 3-7 GLVC) and Truman State improved to 14-2 overall and 10-0 in GLVC play. The Bulldogs posted the match win by scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 and 25-20.
Laynie Timmons hit .457 for the Panthers with a career high 19 kills and added two block solos and three block assists.
Mina House chipped in 11 kills and
Brooke Antenen added nine kills and had 45 assists.
The Bulldogs hit just .233 but had 26 block assists for the match and were led by Kayla Bastian who posted 17 kills and Abby Heise who hit .423 with 12 kills. Meghan Zimmerman had 41 assists for Truman State.
Drury will continue play in Weiser Gym tomorrow with Drury facing Quincy at 2 p.m. and then playing a non-conference contest vs. Southern Arkansas at 7 p.m.
