AURORA, Ill. - The Drury volleyball Panthers posted a 3-0 victory over Lake Erie and hit .523 on Saturday at the seventh annual Mizuno GLVC/GLIAC Crossover for their third win at the Crossover played at the Great Lakes Center.
Drury, an 11 seed, goes to (12-8) on the year and Lake Erie the 16
th seed from the GLIAC falls to 2-18. Drury posted match scores of 25-7,25-8 and 25-7 for the victory.
Drury hit .523 for the match. The Drury record of .587 was set vs. Evangel on October 16, 1989.
Sara Borneman had a team high 11 kills and hitting .474. Six players hit over the .400 mark led by
Chloe Foster who hit .600 with four kills, while both
Brooke Antenen and
Laynie Timmons hit .583 with eight kills each. Antenen also added 28 assists while
BJ Specht had a team high eight digs and also hit .500 with six kills.Â
Mina House hit .429 with four kills.
Lake Erie hit -.121 for the match with just eight kills and 15 errors on 58 attacks.Â
Drury will host Illinois-Springfield in a GLVC match on Saturday, October 25
th at the O'Reilly Family Event Center with match time set for 5 p.m.
