Ciara O'Brien scored with less than eight minutes left in regulation and Drury went on to finish with a 1-all draw with Maryville in Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer action Friday night at Harrison Stadium in the Curry Sports Complex.
Drury is now 4-2-3 overall and 2-2-3 in the GLVC after the tie, while Maryville moved to 3-3-3 and 2-3-3.
The Saints struck first when Katy Rood scored her fourth goal of the year with just 16 seconds remaining in the opening half, off of a free kick, to give Maryville a 1-0 lead entering the halftime break.
It stayed that way until O'Brien tallied from six yards out off a
Sarah Duffy cross to knot it at 1, as neither team could capitalize on its chances in the two extra periods.
Drury outshot Maryville 19-11, including 10-7 in shots on goal. The Panthers had eight corner kicks to two by the Saints.
Panthers' freshman keeper
Tina Haberberger came up with six saves in goal, while Maryville's Bailey Doerflinger was credited with nine saves.
Drury is back in action at Harrison/Curry on Sunday, when the Panthers play host to Missouri-St. Louis in a noon start to be televised by Mediacom Connections 22.
