ST. LOUIS – Led by 15 kills from Joey Siebenmorgen Missouri-St. Louis earned a 3-2 GLVC victory over the Drury volleyball Panthers at the Mark Twain Building on Saturday.
Drury is now (8-6, 3-6 GLVC) and Missouri-St. Louis improved to 9-5 overall and 6-3 in GLVC play. The Tritons took the match by scores of 25-12, 21-25, 24-26, 25-22 and 15-9.
Mina House had a season best 12 kills and hit .300 to lead the Panthers and BJ Spect had a team high 13 kills.
Bridget Justis led Drury with 20 digs and
Brooke Antenen added 39 assists and 10 kills.
Siebenmorgen hit .387 with her team high 15 kills and Hannah Miller added nine kills and hit. 389 to lead UMSL. The Tritons posted a twelve to six advantage on blocks with Miller having six block assists and Jessica Ploss adding five block assists.
UMSL hit .260 with 63 kills, 18 errors and 173 attacks and DU finished with a .130 hitting percentage with 59 kills, 33 errors and 200 attacks.
Next up for the Drury volleyball team will be Truman State in a GLVC home contest at Weiser Gym set for Friday, October 10
th at 7 p.m.
