No. 19 Drury will hit the Great Lakes Valley Conference road this weekend, starting with a showdown at No. 7 and unbeaten Indianapolis on Friday at Nicoson Hall (6:45 p.m. CST tipoff).

Coach Steve Hesser's Panthers are 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the GLVC after a split in Las Vegas at the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic December 18-19. The Panthers defeated Cal State-San Bernardino 74-71 before falling 64-60 to undefeated and currently fourth-ranked Tarleton State.

Indianapolis (9-0, 1-0) has been idle since picking up a pair of wins in Florida in mid-December, including a 78-73 win over then-No. 9 Barry. Coach Stan Gouard's Greyhounds are winning by an average of 24.6 points per game, second nationally only to Angelo State (29.4). 

Joe Lawson, a 6-7, 245-pound senior, is averaging 18.9 points and 7.7 rebounds to lead four Greyhounds scoring in double-figures. Jordan Loyd, a 6-4 junior and D-I Furman transfer (who's also the reigning GLVC Player of the Week), adds 14.2 points and 6-7 senior Brennan McElroy averages 12.4 points and a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game.

Two transfers are also playing key roles for UIndy. Point guard Lucas Barker, a 6-0 junior transfer who started 55 games at former GLVC member Kentucky Wesleyan the past two seasons, leads all NCAA-II schools with his 8.4 assists per game. Dai-Jon Parker, a 6-3 senior who started 45 games over three seasons at D-I Vanderbilt, is adding 10.8 points per game and has produced efforts of 26 and 19 points as a Greyhound already this season.

Kameron Bundy averages 18.4 points and Cameron Adams adds 17.1 points to lead the Panthers, who receive 11.8 points and a team-high 5.3 rebounds from senior forward Mike Nwelue.

Drury leads the all-time series with the Greyhounds 7-2, including a 3-1 mark in games played in Indianapolis. 

The Panthers continue on to Rensselaer, Ind., to face Saint Joseph's on Sunday in a 3:15 p.m. (CST) tipoff. The Pumas are 3-8 overall and 0-1 in the GLVC entering a Friday evening matchup at home with Missouri S&T.
