Drury netted three first half goals for a 3-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer victory on senior day over Lewis Sunday afternoon at Harrison Stadium in the Curry Sports Complex.
The Panthers improved to 7-5-2 overall and are now 7-3-2 in the GLVC and Lewis falls to 1-12-1 overall and 1-10-1 in the GLVC.
Drury wasted little time getting going as
Julien Chevy scored his third goal of the season from 25 yards out at the 6:10 mark. Senior
Matt Clarkin made it a 2-0 Panther lead with a tap in from three yards out assisted by
Ben Bruce.
David Cross added the Panthers third and final goal of the first half for good measure on a header four yards out off an
Antoine Vial assist.
Drury dominated the Flyers outshooting Lewis by a 21-4 tally with Vial taking five shots and Cross getting off four. Both teams recorded four corners in the contest.
Drury will continue GLVC play when they travel to Saint Joseph's on October 23 for a 7:30 p.m. game.
