Mariah Gove scored three goals, senior forward
Emily Cline added another and Drury defeated Lewis 3-0 on Senior Day in Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at Harrison Stadium in the Curry Sports Complex.
The victory for the Panthers represented DU career coaching victory No. 100 for
Alf Bilbao (100-62-27 in 10 seasons), who received a commemorative cake and a post-game dousing with a water cooler courtesy of his Panthers, who improved to 7-3-4 overall and 6-3-3 in the league with a big win to stay in the hunt for a first-round GLVC Tourney home game.
Lewis fell to 8-5-2 and 6-4-2.
After the Panthers recognized their nine seniors in pre-game, the group as a whole went out and played like it was their final regular season game at Harrison/Curry.
Gove struck at 40:08 with her first goal, off a penalty kick, to give DU a 1-0 lead that would stand through the half.
Then the Panthers poured it on in the second half, with Gove scoring at 71:32 off a Cline assist from close range, then Cline getting into the scoring act with her goal at 77:25 off a Gove assist.Â
Gove scored at 78:37 for the hat trick with her unassisted blast from seven yards out. It was Drury's first three-goal game from an individual since Cline scored four in a win over Saint Joseph's in 2011, her freshman season.

Drury outshot the Flyers 20-9 in the contest, including 8-4 in shots on goal.
Senior
Taylor Pemberton went the distance for the Panthers in goal, coming up with four saves in the shutout.
Drury is back on the GLVC road next weekend for matches at Indianapolis on Friday and Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
