RENSSELAER, Ind. –
Kerri Morris netted a pair of goals (18:29) and (55:11) en route to a 3-0 GLVC victory for Drury women's soccer over Saint Joseph's here on Friday.
The Panthers improved to 8-3-4 overall and are now 7-3-3 in the GLVC and Saint Joseph's falls to 1-13-2 overall and 1-11-1 in the GLVC.
First half goals were scored by
Ciara O'Brien (4:08) with Morris getting the assist then Morris scored her team-leading seventh goal of the year at the 18:29 mark assisted by
Mariah Gove. Morris put through her eighth goal of the season at the 55:11 mark assisted by
Rachel Krueger.
Both teams had 15 shots but Drury finished with an 11 to 8 advantage on shots on goal. Drury took three corners and the Pumas had two.
Tina Haberberger had seven saves in second half action and
Taylor Pemberton made the start and held Saint Joseph's scoreless in the first half.
Drury will continue GLVC play when they travel to Indianapolis on Sunday for a game at 12 p.m.
