FAST FACTS: Coach Jen Bahner's Panthers opened 3-1 last week in the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan., defeating MIAA members Missouri Southern, Emporia State and Pitt State before falling to No. 14 Washburn 3-2 in the finale. Drury had the perennial national title contender down 2-0 at the start before Washburn roared back to win the final three sets and go 4-0 in the tourney. Washburn moved up to No. 9 nationally in this week's AVCA Top 25 Poll. ... Lubbock Christian and St. Mary's are both members of the Heartland Conference, of which DU was a member before moving to the Great Lakes Valley Conference in 2005-06. ... DU junior McKenna Poynter leads the GLVC in digs after the opening weekend with 5.53 per set. ...
