EVANSVILLE, Ind. – A pair of goals by
Emily Cline (10:58) and (50:14) gave the Drury women's soccer team a 2-1 GLVC road win over Southern Indiana here on Sunday.
Drury improved to 3-1-2, 2-1-1 GLVC and Southern Indiana is now 3-2-1, 2-2-0 GLVC.
Cline scored her first goal from close on the right wing and crossed in front of the goal assisted by
Kerri Morris. Cline netted the game winner at the 50:14 mark from the far left wing and was assisted by
Rachel Krueger.
Southern Indiana got on the board at the 56:33 mark when Carissa Dyer scored from the left wing for her second goal of the season.
Morris took a team-high four shots for Drury and Cline had three shots. Drury controlled the game offensively outshooting the Screaming Eagles 14-8 with six on goal for the Panthers and three on goal for USI. The Screaming Eagles recorded six corners and Drury took four.
The Drury women will host McKendree on Friday in a GLVC game at Harrison Stadium/The Curry Sports Complex set to start at 5 p.m.
