The Drury men's soccer team played to a 1-1 GLVC tie vs. Illinois-Springfield on Sunday at Harrison Stadium.
Drury moves to (3-4-1, 3-2-1 GLVC) and Illinois-Springfield is now (2-5-1, 0-5-1 GLVC).
Ben Bruce netted his team leading fourth goal of the season seven yards out at the 8:41 mark off a
Julien Chevy assist. Drury held that lead until the 69:26 mark when Kanye Sayon tied it up on his second goal of the season assisted by Ruell Chappell and Ben Flodstrom.
Drury dominated the game offensively outshooting the Prairie Starts by a 27-15 mark led by six from
David Cross and five from Bruce. Tommy Geile posted seven saves for UIS and
Nicholas Helin had four saves for the Panthers.
Drury will travel to Missouri-St. Louis on Friday for a GLVC game set for a 7:30 start.
