SPRINGFIEILD, Mo. – Drury bounced back from back-to-back losses with a 2-0 win over Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday at Harrison Stadium in Springfield.
The Panthers, ranked 13th in NCAA-II, improved to 8-2 and 6-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UMSL dropped to 6-3-1 and 5-2-1 in the conference.
Drury got on the board 15 minutes into the game on a header by David Cross that found the net from 18 yards out. The goal was the fifth of the year for the Panthers defender.
Joe Fehr scored his goal of the year and gave Drury a 2-0 in the 67th minute. Pierre Villez assisted on both Drury goals.
Nic Helin made three saves and picked up his fifth shutout of the season.
Drury is on the road for their next two games starting with a Friday game at Illinois-Springfield. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at UIS.
