Fifth ranked Rockhurst pulls away from Drury in the second half

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fifth ranked Rockhurst used four second half goals to pull away from Drury for a 5-0 win in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday night.
 
The loss snapped Drury's five-game unbeaten streak as the Panthers were 2-0-3 in their last five games and it marked the first time this season Drury has lost by multiple goals.
 
Drury dropped to 9-3-3 and 7-3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Hawks, who lead the GLVC, improved to 13-1-1 and 11-1-1 in the league.
 
Rockhurst took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute on a goal from Michael Panarisi. The Hawks broke the game open with four goals in the second half including two that came just a minute apart. Panarisi had two goals in the game while Sean Michel had a goal and an assist.
 
The Hawks had a 23-7 advantage in shots with 12 shots on goal to the Panthers three.
 
Drury returns home for a Sunday afternoon game against William Jewell. It is Senior Day for the Panthers on Sunday as they will honor four graduating players prior to their 2:30 p.m. game against the Cardinals.
