AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's recorded 21 hits in taking a pair of games for the Drury baseball Panthers 5-4 and 10-1 here on Saturday.
Drury falls to 0-3 on the season and St. Edward's improved to 9-3.
In the opener St. Edward's used a pair of two run homers coming in the opening inning and the third inning for their four runs.  The Panthers cut the Hilltopper lead in half in the top of the fourth with runs from an 
Devan O'Bryan RBI single and a throwing error that allowed 
Ryan Colombo to cross.  Drury addded their final run in the top of the fifth when 
Ryan Wadkins scored on a fielding error but the Panthers could draw no closer.
Both teams posted five hits in the opener, Cameron Stanton (3-0) earned the win and 
Ryan Colombo (0-1) received the loss. 
In the nightcap St. Edward's scored 10 runs in 16 hits and held Drury to oine run on six hits with 
John Goodrich had a team-high two hits.  Joseph Olson and Nick Lerick each paced the Hilltoppers with three hits.  
Justin Abernathy had an RBI fielders choice to score the Panthers only run in the top of the eighth.
Stuart Springer earned the win going seven innings with seven strikeouts and 
Luke Burnidge (0-1) received the loss going 5.1 and allowing nine hits and six runs.
