Ryan Colombo threw eight shutout innings and added two hits, an RBI and scored a run at the plate to help the Drury baseball Panthers to a 2-0 shutout win over Arkansas-Ft. Smith Saturday at Meador Park.
Drury is now 4-5 and Arkansas-Ft. Smith falls to 10-7.
The game was scoreless until the Panther third when Colombo tripled to right center to bring home
Ryan Kayhill followed by
Devan O'Bryan capping off the two run two hit Panther third with an RBI single to score Colombo.
Drury finished with six hits and the Lions had seven.
Colombo (2-1) earned the win and posted five strikeouts and Evan Sanders (2-2) received the loss and also had five K's.
Ryan Wedermyer earned his third save on the mound with two strikeouts in an inning of action. Ozzie Hurt and Trevor Crone added two hits each for UAFS.
Drury will wrap up their three game series with Arkansas-Ft. Smith tomorrow at Meador at noon.
