Lewis scores three first half goals on way to 4-1 win over Drury

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Three first half goals by Lewis put Drury out of reach in a 4-1 win for the Flyers on Friday night in Romeoville, Illinois.

The loss dropped the Panthers to 2-2-1 and 0-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Lewis improved to 3-2-1 and 1-1-1 in the league.

The Flyers scored the game's first two goals but Drury came within striking distance when Kerri Morris scored her second goal of the season on an assist from Gabbe Millot in the 31st minute.

Lewis gave themselves a cushion just before halftime when Meg Carmody converted a penalty for her second goal of the game.

Mackenzie Fuller of Lewis had a goal and two assists in the game as the Flyers owned a 22-7 advantage in shots while putting 15 shots on goal to the Panthers six.

Drury stays on the road this weekend for their next game. The Panthers are at Wisconsin-Parkside Sunday afternoon for a 2:30 p.m. in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
