JOPLIN, Mo. – Drury earned a road win with a 3-0 at Missouri Southern State in a non-conference match Tuesday night in Joplin, Missouri.
The Panthers raised their record to 7-4 and dropped the Lions to 3-10.
With the score in the first set tied at 22-22, Drury won the opening frame by taking the next three points. The Panthers built a four point lead midway through the second set and won five of the last six points to take a 2-0 lead winning 25-19. Drury rallied back from 8-4 behind in the third to win the match with a 25-21 score in the final set.
Bentley Mara led the Panthers with 12 kills and a block while Brooke Antenen had 24 assists and four aces.
Drury goes on the road for two conference games this weekend. The Panthers are at Saint Joseph's on Friday at 7 p.m. and play at Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
