Head coach Ryan Swan reaches 100 career wins with 3-2 win at Truman State

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Drury University men's soccer head coach Ryan Swan reached a milestone on Friday with his 100th career win as a late goal by the Panthers lifted Drury to a 3-2 victory at Truman State.

The 16th ranked Panthers stayed perfect on the season going to 7-0 and 5-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Truman State dropped to 3-3-1 and 1-3 in the GLVC.

With 3:39 left in regulation, Ben Bruce scored his fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick that broke a 2-2 tie.

The Bulldogs had scored twice in the second half to even the game. Truman State goals 11 minutes apart from Trevor Kaufman and Craig McLaurine evened the game after the Panthers claimed a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Reigning conference and NCAA-II Player of the Week Antoine Vial stayed on his hot streak scoring his fifth goal of the season 24 minutes into the game to put Drury on the board. Charles Guelly added his fourth goal of the year seven minutes later for the Panthers to give Drury a 2-0 in the 31st minute.

Drury head coach Ryan Swan earned his 100th career win while in his eighth season as a head coach, each of those years with the Panthers. Their 7-0 record is the Panthers best start since Swan's first season in 2009. Swan's career head coaching record now stands at 100-43-4 (.694).

Drury will put their perfect record on the line Sunday when they play at Quincy for a 2:30 p.m. game in Quincy, Illinois.
