SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury returned home for the first time in two weeks and swept past Southwest Baptist 3-0 in a non-conference match at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield on Tuesday.

Drury pulled away to win the first set 25-16, won the second set 25-22 and finished off the Bearcats with a 25-14 win in the third.

The Panthers improved to 17-6 while SBU lost their ninth straight to drop to 2-21.

"We've been on the road quite a bit so we were excited to be back on our home court," said Drury head coach Jenifer Bahner. "We needed to find our rhythm but the girls did a good job of staying composed and we kept to our game-plan. I thought we finished very strong and earned our own points by being aggressive."

Sarah Kite led Drury with 13 kills and the junior from Plano, Texas also had 11 digs. Kendra Sater had 31 assists and three service aces while Evan Larson and 2.5 blocks. The Panthers had 10 blocks as a team in the match.

Drury returns to conference play on Friday when they travel to Illinois Springfield for a 7 p.m. match against Prairie Stars.
