ROLLA, Mo. – The Drury women's soccer team scored goals in each half to secure a 2-0 GLVC road win Friday at Missouri S&T.
The game winning goal came in the 32
nd minute, when junior
Gabbe Millot took advantage of a free kick from 30 yards. With just two minutes left in the contest
Kerri Morris scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year. That goal also came off a free kick that was deflected off the keepers hands with Millot being awarded the assist.
The Panthers improved to 5-5-1 and 3-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Miners remain winless on the season, 0-11 overall and 0-9 in the league.
Missouri S&T outshot the Panthers 15-8 with Carli Tastad taking six shots. Morris recorded three shots and Millot had two.
Tina Haberberger posted her fourth shutout of the season and had three saves.
Drury returns to action on October 8 when they play at Maryville. Game time is noon in St. Louis.
