EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Bellarmine handed Drury a 3-0 loss on Friday night in Louisville, Kentucky and gave the Panthers their first back-to-back losses of the season. The Knights swept Drury winning 25-21, 26-24 and 25-22.
The Panthers, who fell at home on Tuesday to Truman State, dropped to 14-4 and 6-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Bellarmine improved to 14-3 and 5-3 in the GLVC.
Margaret Horihan led the Knights with a game-high 19 kills. Jordyn Kuchenbrod contributed 28 digs for Bellarmine.
Bentley Mara and
Sarah Kite had 12 kills to lead the Panthers.
Kendra Sater had 34 assists and 17 digs.
Drury returns to action on Saturday when they play at Southern Indiana. Game time is 3 p.m. in Evansville, Indiana.
