SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Two second half goals by Illinois Springfield's Karisa Rogers helped the Prairie Stars pull away from Drury for a 3-0 win over the Panthers on Friday in Springfield, Illinois.
Drury dropped to 3-2-1 and 1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Illinois Springfield improved to 4-1-2 and 1-1-1 in the league.
Taylor Mraz got the Prairie Stars on the board with a first half goal in the 28
th minute. Rogers then scored goals in the 62
nd minute and the 77
th minute of play to put the game out of reach. The goals were Rogers' third and fourth of the season.
Illinois Springfield outshot Drury 17-9. Panthers goalkeeper
Gabrielle Klingaman had three saves in her first start of the season.
Drury continues the road trip on Sunday when they take on Quincy. Game time is at noon in Quincy, Illinois.
