QUINCY, Ill. – The Panthers threatened in the second half but could not draw even as 20
th ranked Quincy handed Drury a 2-1 road loss at Legends Stadium on Sunday in Quincy, Illinois.
The loss dropped Drury to 3-3-1 and 1-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Quincy stayed unbeaten as they raised their record to 5-0 and 3-0 in the league.

st minute as
Gabby Menendez scored her third goal of the season cutting the Hawks lead to 2-1. Menendez found the net from five feet away on a rebound as Rachel Kreuger picked up the assist.
Quincy scored twice in the first half and held off the Panthers down the stretch. The Hawks got on the board early with a goal from Allison Birke in the third minute and then scored in the closing moments of the half on Maddie Bauer's goal with 18 seconds left before halftime.

Tina Haberberger had 14 saves as Quincy put up 25 shots and 16 on goal. The Panthers had 10 shots with eight on goal.
Drury returns home and hosts Truman State on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Lake Country Soccer Complex.
