SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury, who hit a season high .340 hitting percentage, earned their second straight 3-0 win of the week, taking down Maryville in a GLVC contest Friday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. The Panthers improved to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Panthers pulled away to win the first set 25-17, and then dominated the Saints in the final two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-11. Maryville fell to 1-10 overall and 1-2 in the GLVC with the loss.
Emmalee Chrest led the Panthers with 13 kills and posted a .346 hitting percentage.
Kendra Sater added 37 assists in the three sets while
Bentley Mara added another nine kills and hit .389.
Allison Lakin led the Saints with eight kills.
Drury returns to conference play on Saturday when they host Missouri-St. Louis. Game time is 3 p.m. in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
