KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Drury junior
Uxoa Bertiz netted the game winning goal at the 19 minute mark for a 1-0 GLVC win over Rockhurst Friday at Bourke Field.
The Panthers improved to 4-5-1 and 2-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Rockhurst fell to 5-4 and 3-3 in the GLVC.
Bertiz goal, her second of the season, came from seven yards out with
Gabbe Millot and
Kayla Day getting credit for assists.
Rockhurst outshot the Panthers by a 20-6 total and tested DU senior keeper
Tina Haberberger. who held strong and posted nine saves in the shutout win. Bertiz and freshman
Ellie Johnson each recorded two shots.
Drury returns to action on October 6 when they play at Missouri S&T. Game time is 5 p.m. in Rolla.
