SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 18
th ranked Drury Panthers could not break through Northwood's defense as the Timberwolves scored a second half goal on their way to a 1-0 win on Sunday at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
After a scoreless first half, the Timberwolves picked up the game's lone goal as Lucas Sammut chased down a long pass from Austin Hobbs and found the net in the 58
th minute. Drury put up three shots in the final 20 minutes but could not draw even. Northwood ended the game with the advantage in shots 10-9.
The Panthers are home again on Friday as they host Wisconsin-Parkside in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Harrison Stadium.
