SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury senior
Kerri Morris had two goals and two assists as the Panthers started Great Lakes Valley Conference play with a 5-0 win over Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday night at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
Drury raised their record to 3-0-1 and 1-0 in the GLVC. The Rangers dropped to 1-3 and 0-1 in the league.
Morris, a senior from O'Fallon, Missouri, assisted on both of Drury's first half goals scored by
Jayde Lowe in the 12
th minute and
Uxoa Bertiz in the 34
th minute. Morris then put in her second and third goals of the season in the second half finding the net in the 72
nd minute and again three minutes later. The six points she accumulated on Friday was a career high for the Fort Zumwalt HS product.
Madeline Mueller wrapped up Drury's scoring adding another goal in the 84
th minute.
The five goals for Drury was the most they've scored in a game since the 2012 season when they defeated Missouri-St. Louis 5-3. The five-goal margin of victory is the Panthers' largest since a 7-0 win over Saint Joseph's in 2011.
Drury is home again on Sunday as they host Indianapolis in the GLVC match. Game time is at noon at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
