INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– The Indianapolis Greyhounds posted a 3-1 victory over the Drury men's soccer team at Key Stadium on Friday.
The Panthers dropped to 2-10-3 and 2-7-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UINDY improved to 11-3-1 and 7-3-1 in the conference.
Drury got on the board first in the 16th minute as
Mitchell Vaughn netted his third goal of the season.
UINDY battled back quickly, striking at the 30
th (Alejandro Steinwasher) and 42
nd minutes (James Jenkins) to push ahead 2-1 at the half. The Greyhounds distanced themselves for good when Steinwasher scored his second goal of the game and seventh of the season five minutes into the second half.
The Greyhounds offense came out firing and recorded a 20-2 shot advantage for the game.
Drury will continue GLVC road action on Sunday when they travel to Bellarmine for a 1:30 p.m. (Central) game against the Knights.
