SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- 12th ranked Drury had to rally from behind in the third and fourth sets but managed a 3-1 win over Missouri S&T on Tuesday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield.
Â
The Panthers improved to 15-3 and 8-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Miners dropped to 10-8 and 3-6 in the league.

The Panthers started the fourth set in a 9-3 hole but rallied to draw even at 11-11. After Missouri S&T went up 15-11, Drury outscored the Miners 14-4 to close out the match.
Â
"I give Missouri S&T a lot of credit," said Drury head coach
Jenifer Bahner. "They came in here and played like they had nothing to lose. We talked to our girls that we are a nationally ranked team now and it doesn't matter who you're playing - we're going to get the best from our opponent."
Â
Emmalee Chrest led the Panthers with 16 kills while
Kendra Sater had 41 assists.
Bree Schmidt added 28 digs while
Taylor Forth was credited with five block assists.
Â
Emilee Schlader had 16 kills, 13 digs, and four service aces for Missouri S&T.
Â
"We had an off night but we kept fighting, kept going for balls and didn't quit," added Bahner. "I think that still shows growth from this team. In the past, we might have just given up seeing it wasn't our night. This group just found a way to win."
Â
Drury is at home for their next game but will move to Weiser Gym to take on the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday at 7 p.m.
