KANSAS CITY, Mo.– The Rockhurst Hawks broke out for three goals in a seven-minute span midway through the second half and held off the Drury Panthers for a 3-1 win on Wednesday at Bourke Field in Kansas City, Missouri.
Rockhurst raised their record to 9-7-1 and 8-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury ended their season 0-16-1 and 0-13 in the league.
The GLVC's leading scorer, Stephanie Ostrander, broke the scoreless tie and with a pair of goals. Her first came in the 62nd minute and her next, which was her 12th of the year, followed three minutes later. Both goals were assisted by Cathy Rometti.
Rockhurst tacked on another goal when Colleen Pikus scored in the 69th minute.
Drury got on the board in the 87th minute when freshman
Chloe Cash scored her second goal of the season.

Sarah Franks had eight saves in the loss.
