KIRKSVILLE, Mo.- The Drury Panthers completed a four-game series sweep at Truman State as the took both games of a doubleheader on Saturday winning game one 3-2 and game two 19-10 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Drury returns home with a 14-15 record and a 6-2 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bulldogs fell to 7-17 and 1-7 in the league.

In the first game,
Avery Jennings (2-3) worked 6.1 innings allowing six hits and two runs with no walks and five strikeouts as he picked up the win for Drury.

The Panthers scored a pair of runs in the second inning on a two-RBI hit by
Bayler Hinz. Drury then took a 3-1 lead in the sixth when
Brandt Ollinger scored on a throwing error.

After Truman State pulled within one on a solo home run by Evan Keyser, Nick Constantino entered the game to retire the last two batters and earn his fourth save.

The Panthers scored a season-high 19 runs in their game two victory. Drury built a 6-0 lead through two innings and added another three runs in the fourth to go ahead 9-3.

Brant Schaffitzel went 3 for 3 with three runs scored, four RBI's and two walks while
Clayton Engel drove in five runs going 2 for 4 with a run, a walk and two doubles. Brant Ollinger went 3 for 5 with a run, 3 RBI's and a home run. Â

The Panthers are on the road for a non-conference game at Southwest Baptist on Wednesday. The first pitch is at 2 p.m. in Bolivar, Missouri.
