LIBERTY, Mo.- William Jewell defeated Drury twice in a pair of games decided in the last at-bat on Sunday as the Cardinals won 4-3 in game one, and 1-0 in the second game at Talley Stadium in Liberty, Missouri.

The Panthers suffered back-to-back losses for the first time since March 20, and they fell to 24-18 and 15-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. William Jewell bounced back from being shut out twice on Saturday and moved to 21-19 overall and 10-10 in the league.

In game one, William Jewell loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth, and Chase Redick won it for the Cardinals with an RBI-single.

Drury tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the fifth on K.K. Daniel's sacrifice fly that scored
Brant Schaffitzel.

Brandt Ollinger went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI to lead the Panthers at the plate.

Game two was scoreless until William Jewell won the game in the bottom of the seventh. Robbie Colburn's single with the bases loaded ended the game as he drove in the winning run.

Cardinals pitcher Wyatt Schulz (3-0) fired a two-hit shutout and walked only one batter while striking out eight.

The Panthers return home for a four-game series against Maryville with noon doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday at U.S. Baseball Park in Ozark. Drury leads the Saints and Quincy University by one game in the GLVC West Division race.
