WARRENSBURG, Mo.- The Drury Panthers won both their matches on Friday in the Peggy Martin Challenge hosted by the University of Central Missouri as they picked up wins over Missouri Southern State and fourth-ranked Florida Southern. The Panthers improved to 2-1 with the two victories.
Drury started the day with a 3-0 sweep of Missouri Southern State (25-16, 25-23, 25-14). The Panthers took a commanding 12-6 lead in the first set and took the opening frame by nine. Drury rallied from a 17-13 deficit in the second set to win 25-23, and they cruised to an 11-point win in the third to close out the match.
Bentley Mara had 11 kills while
Emmalee Chrest added 10, and
Evan Larson had six kills in the third set alone and finished with eight for the match.
Kendra Sater had 29 assists while
Bree Schmidt contributed 26 digs.
The Panthers took down the fourth-ranked team in NCAA-II in a 3-0 win over Florida Southern (25-22, 25-7, 25-11) in Drury's second game of the day. Mara had 13 kills, 14 digs, and five service aces to lead Drury. Sater added 31 assists and 10 digs.

th ranked Arkansas Tech at the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
