Drury opens the season at home vs. Christian Brothers
The Drury Panthers open the 2018 season at home on Friday against Christian Brothers University at the Lake Country Soccer Complex in Springfield. Game time is 7 p.m.
 
The Panthers are coming off of a 7-8-2 season and will be looking to replace their leading scorer from each of the last two seasons, Keri Morris (6g-3a-15pts) and a four-year starter in goal, Tina Haberberger (7-7-2, 1.32 GAA, .794 save percentage last year).
 
Drury returns 14 letter winners from last year's team led by Kayla Day (2g-2a-6 pts). Alf Bilbao enters his 13th year as the program's head coach and carries a record of 113-82-33 leading Drury women's soccer.
 
Christian Brothers will also be playing in their season opener on Friday. The Lady Bucs went 10-7-1 last year, and they return their top scorers from last year – Bailey Tadlock (7g-5a-19 pts), and Sinead Tierney (5g-0a-10 pts).
 
Following Friday's game, the Panthers are home again on Sunday. Drury will host Missouri Southern State at Harrison Stadium in the Curry Sports Complex at 7 p.m.
